The screen sharing revolution

Video conferencing is essential to the modern workplace – letting anyone meet from anywhere. But screen sharing technology has made little progress in the past 20 years. Why do we still record private desktop screens when everything we present is in the cloud?

We developed the 1st entirely web-based screen sharing technology. Instead of using your local desktop, we provide a virtual display that acts as the perfect medium to meet and engage with customers.

Hitting the market

After giving 1000+ demos of Demodesk, we realized three things:

  • Selling a feature is hard
  • There was a clear need for a better online meeting solution for sales
  • Demodesk was uniquely positioned to solve the pains of customer-facing reps

We developed a comprehensive meeting platform that automatically loads the right content, assists reps with talk tracks & battle cards, and captures deep insights. We hadn’t just solved technical pain, we were helping salespeople sell better.


Breaking into Silicon Valley

We went through Y-Combinator’s Winter 2019 batch helping us jump-start our mission to build the leading online meeting tool for customer-facing interactions.

In March 2019, we raised a $2.3M seed round from YC, Kleiner Perkins, GFC, FoundersClub and various renowned angels. This helped us develop our product and hire a strong founding team.

In 2019, Veronika Riederle and Alex Popp pitched Demodesk at Y-Combinator's "Pitch Day", raising $2.3M in seed funding.

Backed by the best in business

After seeing early success, we raised an additional $8 million of funding from Balderton, Target Global, and experienced angels including Martin Henk, Dharmesh Shah, Nick Mehta, Des Traynor, Phil Chambers, Matt Robinson, Hanno Renner, Immad Akhund, Philipp Rösch-Schlanderer, Christopher Muhr.
